Born in Oporto, Portugal in 1958.
I got into photography at a considerably young age. Initially just to fiddle with the camera, trying to figure out how all the pieces worked together, it soon became a passion for capturing the moment with all its details and glory.
Unfortunately, due to professional reasons, I had to put my passion on hold for more than 25 years. Glad to say that in 2008 I was finally able to get back to photography.
Having been inactive for 25 years I jumped over the digital revolution and the Photoshop age.
Despite using a digital camera, I try to keep the original shot mostly untouched, except for some minor adjustments. I prefer to leave the pictures in its original form.
Photography also allows me to travel a lot on a quest to capture and eternalize moments of our human essence, living conditions and especially those small, joyful details.
Over the years, I have gathered an extensive photo collection of the most diverse themes and projects of photojournalism. I decided to bring a project to life by publishing my images on this website.
Suffice to say that traveling is also one of my passions.
I hope you enjoy my work as much as I have fun doing it.
