Personally, i think that since the beginning of the human race, both men and women have been used objects in a decorative way, thus contributing to a better personal image and status in their society. In many cultures, the excessive use of accessories expresses the identity of the individuals and their personalities. I have seen lots of original, hand-made accessories mainly in African tribes.
