Ruins are the remains of human-made architecture: structures that were once intact have fallen, into a state of partial or total disrepair, due to long-term weathering and scavenging, over time. The most common root causes include natural disasters, war, and population decline.

I always try to find old factories, houses, mansions and photograph them. It is quite exciting to enter them and navigate the spaces that were once inhabited and had life. One of my favorite things is especially the "strained" light that will produce a very special color.

One of the countries I find the most ruin in is China, because of the rapid growth,  and aggressive development, with thousands of houses and buildings being destroyed at an incredible rate. I visit China for more than thirty years and I'm already in the third generation of buildings. I think that only there I can see such a thing.
